When Earth bares no color
Warmth must be internal
To stifle the damage
And loss of your petals
When Earth bares no color
Warmth must be internal
To stifle the damage
And loss of your petals
I wish
You had let me fly from the nest
Before the weight of feathers
Clung to me
Beer, dark roast
Why do people prefer
The bitterest drinks
Shocking at first, each time they sip
They get more and more
Familiar with the taste
I keep my crafts out of order
Just to make sure no one rifles
Through my pens, felts, and my stickers
So there are no means to enter
And cause the death of my workspace
So no one will know why I behave
The way I do
Let the worthy build sand castles
Let my waves disintegrate them
Let them keep their copper tassels
While I snatch and bury their gold
The blue bird
Unleashes its wings
Around earth
This is just enough
Its feathers
Flow across prairies
Halting life
And releasing frost
